How it works Am I elegible? The Motability Scheme enables you to exchange all or part of a qualifying mobility allowance for a brand new car. If you are in receipt of any of the following, and have at least 12 months’ award length remaining, you could be eligible for the Scheme: Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA) Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP) War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) Your payments don’t only cover the cost of the car – they also cover: Fully comprehensive insurance for up to three named drivers Routine servicing and maintenance Breakdown assistance Tyre repair Windscreen repairs

Am I eligible to join the Motability Scheme?

To qualify for the Motability Scheme, you must be receiving one of the below disability allowances, and have at least 12 months remaining on your allowance when you apply.

  • Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)

Do I own the car at the end of the lease?

At the end of the lease, you will not own the car. Instead, you have two options: either apply for a new Fiat or Abarth Motability vehicle of your choice, or walk away with no further commitments.

What’s covered by my Motability lease?

The Motability Scheme doesn’t just cover your brand new car for three years. It also covers the insurance for up to three named drivers, servicing and maintenance, breakdown cover, and tyre repairs and replacement.
