Hot hatches don’t come much hotter than the Abarth 595, a beautifully designed car that delivers impressive performance figures.
Though based on the Fiat 500, the Abarth 595 is more than a mere city car. Indeed, it’s just as suited to winding its way along country roads as it is to weaving in and out of urban traffic.
The car rides on stylish 17-inch Gran Turismo alloy wheels whose lightweight yet durable design promotes optimal efficiency and performance. Meanwhile, an eye-catching three-door body is further distinguished by the inclusion of the Turismo insignia.
Inside, the 595 comfortably accommodates four full-size adults – and while a 185-litre boot might not seem like much, it soon increases to a 550-litre capacity with 50/50 split-folding rear seats dropped.
This sporty little number comes well-equipped as standard. For example, a seven-inch touchscreen provides access to the car’s sound system, which includes DAB radio. As well as AUX and USB inputs, there’s Bluetooth connectivity, which enables audio streaming and hands-free telephony.
A wide range of standard-issue passive and active safety features are included too. As well as multiple airbags, the car is fitted with front fog lamps which provide all-weather visibility. Speaking of which, rain and dusk sensors are also included, automatically activating the vehicle’s headlights and/or windscreen wipers whenever necessary. Also featured are rear-mounted sensors, constituting an invaluable reverse-parking aid.
The 595’s perky 1.4-litre petrol engine produces 163bhp and 230Nm of torque, enabling 0-62mph in roughly 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 135mph. This turbo-charged powertrain is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, ensuring you have absolute control over every gear transition.
The new Abarth 595 is available now from BS Marson. To book your test drive, please contact the team or one of our salespeople at our Deansgate Garages, Keele Road site today, to discuss further options.
